Edward Donohue is a veteran financial services executive whose career spanned more than three decades in leadership positions at Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley.

Among the many roles he held during his career, Donohue served as Chief Administrative Officer for Lehman Brothers' Technology and Operations Division, where his responsibilities included Business Continuity Planning and Corporate Security in the years leading up to September 11, 2001. 

On September 6, 2001, he presented a proposal to Lehman's Operating Exposures Committee warning that the Firm was vulnerable to a major business disruption. The proposal called for investment in enhanced business continuity capabilities and the development of formal contingency plans. Lehman's senior management elected to defer the initiative for future consideration. Five days later, the attacks of September 11 turned a hypothetical risk into reality, and Donohue found himself helping lead the evacuation of thousands of employees and participating in the extraordinary recovery effort that followed.

A graduate of Villanova University, Donohue built a career focused on finance, audit, risk management, operations, governance, and leadership. He served as a Managing Director in a variety of executive positions at Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley and today serves as Chief Administrative Officer of Primestone Partners.

Climbing Out of Chaos is Donohue's first book.

Originally written for his family, the project evolved into a deeply personal memoir exploring resilience, gratitude, friendship, purpose, and the lessons learned in the twenty-five years following September 11.

Donohue lives in Wyckoff, New Jersey, with his wife, Stephanie. Together, they are the proud parents of three daughters and grandparents to a growing family that continues to remind them of life's greatest blessings.
